The best part about Italian food is the endless variety of noodles and other dishes you can eat. Pizza is Italian food, but it isn't pasta, so we're skipping that one. Pappardelle, Rigatoni, Capellini, Fettuccine, Spaghetti... come on! That's a whole dictionary right there! All of them are incredibly tasty and feel awesome on those colder days. And besides, everybody loves pasta! The only one who didn't was me, but now I love it, so you can literally eat it with whoever you want. The sauces are another debate because here there are way more options than before, and choosing the right one is especially important. Italians have a very specific sauce for each pasta type, and how they make it matters. They don't use canned or jarred sauces: they make everything from scratch, which is why it's so delicious.

The smallest part of my family is from Italy, and every now and then, we gather to enjoy pasta together to honor our roots and ancestors. My grandma used to make the most delicious pesto pasta. She was clever because she would make a lot of pesto. Since we weren't going to eat it all at once, she put it in an ice tray and froze pesto cubes for the rest of the month! So whenever she felt like it, or had an unexpected visit, she could pop out some of those ice cubes and make good pesto pasta in seconds! And that's a free recipe for you right there!
Besides how delicious pasta is, it's tied to family gatherings and big tables. Am I the only one who thinks of that whenever I see some pasta? Of course you can eat it on your own, but it's best when 15 plates are ready to serve, with Parmesan flying through the air, laughs, giggles, and lots of family love. Food is meant to be shared with the people you love most, so get yourself an Italian cookbook and make some pasta!
